Pastor Tom was ordained in 1999, and has served in congregations in Washington state, and Wisconsin before becoming the pastor at Trinity Lutheran. He received his seminary education from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has a passion for reaching people inside and outside of the church with the Good News of Jesus. Over the years this has taken him to many different places and communities. In the past several years with the help of many people He been involved in podcasting, radio ministry, and writing daily devotions. His previous career was in the area of manufacturing in the automotive industry where he holds a BS and MS in Industrial Technology.

His wife Paula is also an ordained pastor and has been instrumental in the development of our media technology used to reach people with the Gospel. In addition, she has been involved in a variety of ministries to help people along their spiritual journey.

Pastor Tom and Paula have three grown children; Kristy and Becky are nurses and John works in Engineering.

He grew up on a dairy farm in Southwest Wisconsin near Galena, Illinois and Paula grew up on a dairy farm near Latimer, Iowa. They enjoy rural America and the amazing people that live in the heart land.

Karen Juilfs began serving in the office at Trinity in December 2007. She is an amazingly talented and kind servant who takes care of many, many behind the scenes tasks. Prior to joining Trinity, Karen had "retired" after 40 years as an administrative assistant at Two Rivers FS. Originally from Mendon, IL, she graduated from Unity High School. She and her husband Jerry have three children and six grandchildren.

Organist and Bell Choir Director

Julie Bunge

Julie Bunge has been the organist and bell choir director at Trinity for nearly 21 years. She went to Central High School at Camp Point and received a certificate in clerical work from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She is an agent with Wiewel Insurance in Golden and Carthage. Julie has three grown children and six grandchildren.

Youth and Family Minister

Harlee Gronewold

Harlee started as the Youth and Family Ministry Director for the joint program of Trinity and Immanuel Lutheran Churches in October of 2018. Originally from Payson, IL, she attended John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL, where she studied accounting. During high school she worked with youth through the "Kids in Christ" Ministry at Akers Chapel. She was a church camp counselor during college and mentored junior high and senior high students through a program called Wyldlife/ Young Life in Quincy. Harlee and her husband, Emery Gronewold, have three children (Velvalee, Ren and Waylon).
